If Only For a Minute!
"Time isn't the main thing. It's the only thing." - Miles Davis
It may not look like it, but I did remain active with MWP, creating in the background and posting when I felt it was necessary. Social media algorithms changed the game and "influencers" become the only thing that got fed to the masses. That's not what I'm about. I miss the days where small business, creators, true influencers would flood my pages. Gone are those days.
2020. Time has flown by, and looking at my media and site, you would think there was little to show for it. The fact is, I took last year to work on me. I realized [like many have] that I was spending too much time focused on things that mattered less than things that mattered most.
Not to bore you with all the minor details, but 2019 consisted of more quality family time, new role at work, work travels, and building a better me. Yes, yes, yes, you've probably heard people say "New Year, New Me!" all the time, but I actually accomplished this. I changed roles at my day job and was fortunate enough to travel and meet new colleagues and friends. When I wasn't traveling, I spent more time focused on the family and relying less on Supermom Kristin to pick up "the slack". I also began running again, and taking it seriously for the first time since I was 12. These changes allowed me the opportunity to truly balance my time in the other respective areas. By creating balance, I've created greater mindfulness.
I will continue to create, I will continue to truly influence, and I will continue to better myself. I encourage you to do the same.
