They Need Our Help!

"Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much." - Helen Keller

On Friday May 12, 2017, a fire broke out in a home and 3 children perished, and 1 was taken to hospital in critical condition as a result. This was difficult to take in, especially when these kids were in the same school/class as my kids, and my neighbors. Nothing will ever replace those kids, but we can help the families through this difficult time.

I decided to raffle of my Hallows Eve pen with custom Norwood Leather sleeve, and donate 100% of the funds to the YOU CARING account set up on the families behalf. As expected, the community came together via social media and paid into the raffle. Not for the pen, but for the family. We raised $480 (pen retail $250), and then others stepped up to offer their craft to raise even more money via raffles and auctions on Instagram.

I am proud of the makers and non-makers that stepped up when help was needed the most to make this happen. I have said it before, but once again, THANK YOU ALL!!!

If you would like to donate, you can do so through the links below. Any amount helps! Also, through the schools (Houser Elementary and Vogel Intermediate), they are accepting gift cards, clothing, undergarments, shoes, socks, etc. in both Male and Female, and Adult and Kids sizes. They not only lost their children, they lost their home and everything in it. Please contact the schools to determine sizes and best delivery method.
